The proper size tent you will need will depend on a few circumstances including how many guests you are planning on having, the type of tables and the layout of tables. Generally, a 20x20 tent can fit a maximum of 40 people. A 20x30 tent can fit a maximum of 60 people. A 20x40 tent can fit a maximum of 80people. This is based off of a setup of all round tables with 8 people per table. The maximum accommodations will be more if using banquet style rectangle tables and the maximum seating will be less if room is needed for food tables, gift tables, etc. Possibly consider two tents if you want to keep food, drinks and trash separate from the main seating area. Feel free to let us know if you need help deciding.
All of our tents are elegant, high peak pole tents. This means that they are secured using ropes and stakes at each pole. The majority of the installs are performed on grass however we can certainly install the tent on asphalt as well. Please just let us know if the surface will be asphalt when booking. If we install the tent on asphalt, we will plug all holes that are left as a result of the stakes. Please ensure that the intended area is at least 5 feet larger than the size of the tent on all sides. Tents can be installed over flat patios as long as there is grass around the edges of patio. Unfortunately, our tents can't be installed on elevated decks or other surfaces. If you aren't sure if your surface will work, you can send us a picture of the area and get our advice.
We always prefer to deliver and set up the tent at least a day before your event. Depending on the delivery schedule, delivery may be several days before the event. If a prior day setup is not available for any reason, we will set up early in the morning the day of the event to give you plenty of time to prepare for your event.
We are not in the business of shutting the party down! We will never pick up the tent on the day of your event and kick people out, unless absolutely necessary, such as a setup at a public park or property. Feel good knowing the party doesn't have to stop until you want it to.
Of course! While we are able to provide lights, and some accessories, we are not a fully functional decorator. Feel free to decorate the tent however you please to inspire the theme of your event. Please refrain from using tacky tape such as duct tape or gorilla tape or any type of glue. Also, if you have elaborate decorations, please ensure they are cleaned up prior to pickup the next day. We would hate for anything to get damaged. If you want a totally effort free setup, we partner with other small vendors who can provide complete table setting and decorative services. Just let us know.
Because most of our rentals are muti day rentals, online, automatic booking is difficult. The best way to move forward with your reservation is send us a message through the "Contact Us" section on the home page. Be sure to include all of the requested information as well as all of the items that you wish to rent and any unique circumstances that we need to know. If all of the items are available for your requested date and location, you will be sent an invoice with the total price and details. If any of the requested items are not available, we will be in touch within 24 hours to attempt to work out an alternative. Once you receive the invoice, we ask for a 25% deposit to reserve your items. Once that is paid, you are all set and we will see you on the specified setup date. The remainder of the payment will be due at the time of delivery. If you wish to pay the entire invoice amount in cash at the time of setup, that's ok too. Again, just let us know.
We are based in Severna Park, MD. Our primary service areas are Anne Arundel County, Howard County, and Baltimore County. Please do not hesitate to contact us though if you are located outside of these areas. Depending on availability of items and drivers, we will do our best to accommodate you. Please understand that delivery fees may apply.
We ask for a 25% deposit to reserve all of your items. If you make the decision to cancel your event, the deposit is non refundable. If you cancel your event because of inclement weather, we will do our best to accommodate a make up date. If the make up date is also cancelled due to inclement weather, we will refund the deposit amount.
We are a small business and storage space and truck space is limited. Therefore, we focus primarily on providing high quality, professionally installed tents as well as all the accessories you need for your tent rental. We provide the tent as the canvas for your event and give you the freedom to outfit it with the tables, chairs and decorations as you see fit. However, we partner with other local business and can arrange all of your tables, chairs, linens and other equipment needs as well. No need to make multiple calls, we can handle it all for you.
Sidewalls are rarely used in the heat of the summer months, especially on all sides. The reason is because it will trap the heat inside and make it very hot and humid. Sides can be used on one or two sides if you are looking for a little additional privacy. Additionally, sides should not be installed if there are heavy winds expected. Ideally, sides are to be set up when the weather will be a little cooler and you should always plan to leave at least a section of the tent open. If you are set on using sides in the summer, be sure to ask about our industrial tent fans to cool the space down. The tent, without sides installed, will typically cool down the area by about 10-15 degrees on average.
Of course. Our tents can be used for much more than a backyard party. Small businesses have used our tents to park cars under at a car collision center, to provide additional floor space for merchandise in their parking lot and additional dining space at restaurants. They have also been used for shade and coverage at breweries and have even been used in the winter for Christmas Tree stands. If you need additional, covered space, a tent can be a great solution.
